So after some scenic tours of Newmarket (thanks Emma, you classic LoM) the team arrived to play in the sunshine in an interesting array of purple tops. Some players high on painkillers, some hungover and some (Kendra) apparently just high on life. But the game got off to a strong and energetic start with some excellent teamwork and persistence in the D leading to an early goal by Cath. Cath 'ran herself ragged' along with the rest of the team to maintain the pressure and provide a strong attacking performance.

Mel proved to be a very useful addition to the team (we'll keep her - a very well deserved MoM) with some super defensive work and the rest of the team helped drive the ball out of danger with some great runs. Sarah did a fantastic job of securing our second goal and Izzy followed this up by smashing a short corner straight to the backboard, making in 3-0.

A great display of teamwork, persistence and stamina from everyone. A special thanks to Kendra for hollering from the side of the pitch and keeping our spirits up throughout!
