With the ball bouncing off the solid terrain, we hit the ground cautiously to start. Soon into the game, we showed our determination; maintaining possession and making many attacks at the goal.

Half time came and went with Emily keeping the St Ives attacks down the right in check, Maddy making good drives into the D and Robyn Muzza putting her new glove to good use with plenty of successful tackles (as well as a green card for not retreating five!); success outweighing the mistake therefore earning her the MoM vote! Our passing round the back was on point thanks to Roisin, Robyn Mc, Hannah and Blythe, making our sideline coach very happy! Our endless work rate and continual running kept us warm in the Baltic conditions.

After half time we bided our time…and with our patience came reward. After dodging some flying, but safe, head-height balls, our forward line (Sophie, Alice, Alice and Flix) were able to link with the midfield, working the ball round the back of the D and the goalie!! Winners!

We all hope Blythe is alright after the fall; we hate to see anyone take to the ground.

The only other event to note was my vote for Lemon for both a green card for my worthless tackle and flirting with the coach! Blemishes on my otherwise clear record! Decent day!
