We started strong with an early goal from Kath and continued to dominate for most of the first half. The strong defensive line helped us keep players up the pitch and there was good work by the midfield to keep returning the ball to the forwards in the D. Anne-Marie earned POM for her great work driving the ball up the pitch. Emily S had a goal disallowed leaving the score at 1-0 at the end of the first half.

Nomads started strong in the second half with an equaliser. South fought back hard and earned a series of short corners. In the last minute a final short corner yielded the winning goal from a p-spot tap in by Emily B after a good strike by Erin. Erin head-butting one of the opposition, earned her Lemon but there were a few lemon worthy moments during the match: both Kath and me having tumbles (a second this week for me!). Becky also earned a vote for only making it to the last 20 mins of training. The whole game was captured by Kea on Hannah’s camera (except the first goal which she managed to miss).
