“We are going to Bury them under our avalanche”
Harry Schumann 15/01/22

This certainly happened that fateful day a year ago. Time has passed and the snow had built up again for the M1s who had been winless since the turn of the year. But alas Schu had a new quote to motivate the boys one year on:

“The snow has settled on a layer of soft powder and it’s ready to break away”

Sounds like another avalanche was due…

And it was…

The boys just love playing Bury and ran away with a MAMMOTH 2-0 victory (omg so many goals!). A beautiful Tim Winter deflection from a Harry Lewis drilled ball put the boys 1-0 up early on before Cal Middleton’s drag flick from a PC saw the boys build a comfortable 2-0 cushion.

Señor Sam “El Capitano” “Bishop” Highfield claimed the man of the match award for an industrious performance with comparisons to the great Andrea Pirlo himself (seems a bit odd to describe Pirlo as industrious). However, Sam also managed to bag his second award of the evening, Lemon of the Match, for leaving his clipboard on the top of the car not once, but twice and for forgetting what colour we were playing in half way through the match. Outstanding!
