The first half started off steady but gained some pace as the game commenced. South scored the first goal with what can only be described as a team effort - a lengthy battle through the D finishing with a skilful touch administered by Lucy B to finally push the ball over the line.

South then had a near miss when Lucy again slammed it into the back of the goal from a short corner, but sadly she was outside the D (for which she almost got Lemon of the Match award).Ely fought back to bring the score to 1-1 at the end of the first half.

Following Cath's half time talk South really got into their game, showing off a variety of strong accurate passes and much improved marking. Good team play presented Lou and Ley (helped out by Lyn) with opportunities to score, which they put to good use bringing the final score to 3-1 and a win for South!

A brilliant game with Man of the Match going to Alice who played strongly throughout holding the fort at the back. Alice also demonstrated some cracking tackles and great passes to deliver the ball into a great attacking position.

The Lemon of the Match went to Kat, for taking out one of the opposition in style and for missing the ball from the sideline- although the pitch was rather hilly(!)
