It was quickly established from the start that CSHC wanted to show everyone what they're capable of. The game mostly took part in the opposition's half. Pippa, Lauren and Cath made several attempts to score (albeit some of them were just from outside the D) and Pip, Emma and Ellie did excellent job at stopping the ball going too far into our half.

As the first half progressed, CSHC worked very hard, kept possession of the ball, and were rewarded with a goal scored by Lauren.

As matches go, our luck in this one seemed to be closely linked with the weather. It was overcast throughout the first half but it actually started drizzling a few minutes into the second half. Letchworth took the opportunity provided by playing with the wind and CSHC's temporary slump in play and managed to earn themselves a goal.

However, once it stopped drizzling, CSHC woke up and resumed playing as we had been throughout the first half. Lora, Pippa (who switched to defence for the second half) and Pip made a tight barrier for Letchworth to fight their way through.

After several unsuccessful shots on goal, including a goal that wasn't allowed, Emma scored the second goal which secured our win in this match.
