We had a full squad for this match, which was great; especially for a very early start! We had two new players, who both did very well and definitely improved throughout the game.

The match started very evenly with a lot of time spent in each respective D. South had some great runs but just couldn't quite make the most of them when the final ball was played. Nicola unfortunately went over on her ankle very early in the match and was forced to sit out. Huntingdon strongly defend a couple of South short corners. South's defence in the first half was also strong with both Lilla and Ania confidently clearing the lines. At half time the match could have gone either way.

The second half did not start as well for South. There was a lot of space down the middle and Huntingdon were awarded a short corner after a confident run into the South D. The strike from Huntingdon was pin point and they were one up. The second half showed a few gaps in the South play and this unfortunately created another goal-scoring opportunity for Huntingdon.

All in all this was a very good outing for the L3s. We took a lot from the game and it was an enjoyable match to play in.
