With a full squad, it was a perfect opportunity to try out a new formation. Making sure that only ten people were outfield at a time (lesson learned), Ania, having free reign as stand-in captain, decided to try out a new formation: 3-2-3-2. This was a change from our usual 4-4-2, a change that got a number of positive comments about the match, so maybe a variation to add to our repertoire.

Pretty soon after the start of the game, it became clear that Nomads 2s were much the better players, especially when it comes to stick skills! Despite our best efforts, we lost 1-6, with the token goal from Elaine.

We put up an amazing fight! Lilla, with stong hits, and Laura, with excellent marking, did a great job defending. Liz and Naomi were everywhere on the pitch, doing daring tackles and being a nuisance to the opposition! And two stars of the match, with five votes each: Elaine - for scoring that goal, and Harriet - for amazing stick skills, feigns, well placed balls, determined runs and generally giving Nomads a hard time!
