The penultimate game of the season for the L2s against Ely 3s, and right from the off we were the dominating force on the pitch, scoring within the first five minutes. Most of the game was spent within the opposition’s 25 and, although quite crowded, some good play ensued leading to a number of short corners (we lost count after a while), some of which we converted.

The goals where spread evenly between Dani, Hannah, Emma-Rose and Grace, all scoring two apiece. Although, the general consensus was Dani pinched Valerie’s - on target - goal. And with this being Valerie’s last game with us (will miss you loads, xx), shame on you Dani!

On the odd occasion that Ely did manage to make it past their 25, and indeed the halfway line, they were met with the most awesomest defensive line up, composed of myself (of course), Laurie, Valerie, Roisin and Iona. I have to thank Iona for that pass back that had me running (like a gazelle) for the back line, which was one of the only two occasions that the ball entered our 25. We almost managed to keep the ball out of our D but one did slip by, albeit without an Ely player attached!

All in all a nice run in to the end of the season. Let's keep it up for the last game. Good luck ladies.
