The Cheery Ten

Sarah Holland

The Ladies 3s turned up for their away friendly against Nomads in cheerful yellow on a grey and drizzly morning and remained cheerful throughout, despite being a player down for the whole match. Most of the match was played in the Cambridge South half but there were some great breaks by the forwards, which unfortunately didn't result in goals. At the other end midfielders and defenders worked hard to keep the ball away from the goal.

Despite letting in a number of goals, all players did well. There were many lovely triangle passes to get the ball up the pitch, some well defended short corners and some great saves. We think that the final score was 0-8. All in all, not bad considering we had ten players and that the Nomads development side included many of their regular team players.
