M5's F-eight Brought; Ely, Well Fought But Nought.
Ky HoComing into the game from a ten-one win against Kettering 4ths the week before, the team was full of confidence and were raring to go. Ely started the game confidently, but South soon took control with an early goal.
Before reporting more about the actual game, the author feels compelled to mention that despite not being at the game, Shahzad had again organised the team with military recision.
South were dominant and soon went four-nil up before Ely won a short corner from which Luke Bevan, manning the left post, produced an outstanding save. It's worth noting this was Luke's first ever competitive game.
The half finished at five-nil with the Ely keeper making three good saves.
The second half was much the same as the first, with South dominating possession and Andy T getting into good positions but just failing to convert. The game finished at eight-nil, with Simon Ta celebrating his goals with an embarrassing somersault.
