The first half was very even for both teams. The experienced Huntingdon side had great success in defence, but despite this South got a number of chances due to great team play.

The second half saw Huntingdon's experience show. They managed to restructure their team to consistently flood the South D, leading to three goals in quick succession. The less experienced L4 side then regrouped and were able to continue to compete.
