The Score Doesn’t Always Reflect the Game
We knew it would be tough game: Bury 2s are in the league above us and finished fourth last season. We worked hard, with some great runs down the wings and feeding in to the forward line.
Bury scored early; they entered our circle only five times in the first half, but scored on three out of those five. In contrast, we had most of the possession and entered their circle more than ten times but just couldn’t convert.
Eimear got our goal in the second half, after a strike from Tuffers and a goal line scramble she pushed it over the line to win us one back.
A big thank you to Paul for coaching us on the sidelines, and a great first game for Nicola and Sarah. Lots to build on for the start of our league next week, but a considerable improvement from last weekend.
MoM goes to Izzy E for great runs, tackles and never giving up. Lemon goes to Jess for a combination of asking offensive questions, oversharing and dropping pizza on her leg.
Eimear also became the front runner for bruise of the season after taking a ball to the leg.
