No report from the team, so here's what we told the press
South 2nds were somewhat disappointed to get no more from their game at Bourne Deeping than a point.
South’s start in particular gave hope of more as they converted their first two penalty corners of the day to lead 2-0, Ash Artaman sending a drag-flick home for the first and Owen Harrison redirecting to wrong-foot the ‘keeper for the second. South pressed for a third to kill the game off, but were caught out doing so as the hosts scored on the break just before half-time.
That goal changed the game as South began to make errors, conceding twice more early in the second-half to find themselves behind. Dave Bagnall levelled matters again with a deflection and South, who were driven on by the fine distribution from the back of Man-of-the-Match Pete Richer, had opportunities to reclaim the lead they once held, but couldn’t find the finishing touch again and were left with just a solitary point for their efforts.
