A last minute drop-out took the 6s down to 11 players, so we were kindly allowed to pinch the L5s' sub (thank you very much Claudia for joining us) making 11 a side. Hot sun and no subs. Hmm, now I wish I’d done more running and less baking in lockdown.

The 6s made a strong start, and the first few minutes were all about the yellow team, with some strong drives into the opposition D. But the 5s fought back with pace and determination. Annabel made some great saves, including an impressive aerial one with the pad, and another stick save to turn the ball away at the post.
