The game was an evenly matched contest with chances at both ends. South took their opportunities midway through the second half with Owen Russell giving South the lead and he was then unfortunate not to double the score 5 minutes later through some good team counter attacking play.

The defence held firm to secure the 1-0 win claiming South M5's second win of the season. A special mention for Jelley who suffered a nasty injury 19 minutes into the second half and we are all wishing him a speedy recovery. [Ed: It was a nasty dislocation we hear, rather than a fracture]
