M3 2-4 Ely City Mens 1

Chris Walsh

After an amazing run of six straight wins, Saturday felt like a lovely festive opportunity for the 3’s to continue to get what they really want from Santa Claus this year… the opportunity to challenge for top spot in the league. Knowing it will be you against an undefeated 1st XI from Ely, we set out with confidence and determination.

Despite hard work and determination, Ely were just too strong for us on the day and showed us that we have a little way to go as a squad yet. Special shout outs go out to George for a superb penalty flick save and to the whole team for once again working hard for each other and staying positive. We can and will continue to improve as a team in the weeks ahead as we push for that promotion spot.

Don't forget your stick - it is quite a useful bit of equipment for Hockey. Also nebulous other 'off the pitch antics'
