Before the game started, Polly had been voted LOM for her altercation with a fly, Polly won and the extra protein came in useful!

Sarah who had kindly offered to be Goalkeeper was helped into her attire by Guy, he has his uses.

The pitch was sandy and slow but we made a quick start ramping up the goals, 2 scored in the first 15 mins by Hattie and Charlotte and against, quite frankly, some scary opposition.

A ‘brief’ stop to play for the goalkeepers to change their colours to avoid confusion, Sarah far suited pink anyway.

Some great tackling by KA after being hit by the ball and Rosie making sure the ball stayed at Cambridge South end.

3-0 an assist from Polly (+ additional protein) which reached KA perfectly positioned on the post!

Great tackling by Nic, Daisy and Rebecca also to keep the ball with L5.

Sarah in goal enjoyed it very much, she stayed for the second half! and all had been refuelled with Haribos.

Some strong tackling by Hattie followed with a couple of unlucky goal misses. There were growls at Camille from the opposition for her tackling.

4-0 Penalty flick goal by Charlotte! Followed by another goal from Charlotte, (the details have escaped our memories but we think this is the right order!) 5-0!

Some good defence by the twins, Sammy and Eloise, and well tried Fi, nearly another goal, unlucky. She wasn’t deterred and heavy tackling followed.

Injury to Charlotte hit by stick who continued to play followed by an impromptu lesson in bully for Nic by the Newmarket ref.

Sarah performed a great save, fabulous!

6-0 Score by Camille then disallowed, outrageous! She followed this up with a collision with a Newmarket player, or was this a tactic? Anyway a goal to Newmarket followed.
