Final game of the season

Ky Ho

HT:0-1

FT: 0-2

MoM: George and Joe shared it

LoM: The orange ball

After this controlled scientific study, we have concluded that the the team plays better not from the sheer number of the people in the squad attending training, not from natural sporting abilities of certain individuals, not the percentage of carbon in your hockey stick, not from how luminous your astro boots are, not from buying all the CSHC branded goods that Neil Snead has spammed us with, but it is down to the colour of the ball.

After rejecting an orange ball and a yellow ball, the umpires compromised on a PINK ball.

With this lovely magenta coloured dimpled ball South started on the front foot and Andy Thomas could have scored a double hatrick, but they are saved or cleared off the line. Joe also had a couple of shots saved and Kieran likewise had his shot saved too. This all happened in the first 25 minutes. Then one of the Long Sutton folks sported our secret weapon and requedted a changed of ball to an orange one. They then scored a goal to close out the first half.

The second half was more even and LS managed to score from a short corner.

The lovely sunshine, the battered sausages and chips deserve a mention too.

We will be back next season even stronger.

George proved to be pretty decent between the posts and we will miss Joe's speed, energy and his friendly and cheerful presence when he returns to uni.

These two rightly shared the MoM.

Anyone from the committee reading this please take note that we need a big order of pink balls for next season.
