Cambridge South, proudly sponsored by PwC, moved to fourth in Division 3NW by beating Wisbech in a charged and tight match on Saturday.

It was an open and free-flowing game with both sides going on the attack in the first few minutes but it was the home side that took the lead through Chris Baker. Wisbech equalised soon after before Michael Thorogood restored Cambridge South's lead. Wisbech again drew level, though, before Rupert Webb finished off a short corner routine on the stroke of half-time to give the home side a 3-2 lead.

A tighter second half saw Wisbech press forward in search of another equaliser and mid-way through the half they finally broke through and at 3-3 it was anyone's game. It was the home side that managed to snatch all the points, when Chris Baker found the back of the net from another sort corner routine.
