Despite a distinct lack of energy among the team before warming up, after some encouragement from Ginny and Kea we got going and settled into the game quickly. 

We got off to a strong start with lots of pressure on the attack and several attempts on goal. Kath saw a chance with a great run into the D with the ball and took a shot, neatly deflected in by Cat for our first goal of the match. The tireless work of our defenders Laurie Vicky Nicole Ginny and Annabel, and a few calm executed saves from keeper Zoe kept us out of trouble, taking us to half time 1-0 up. 

Mo shortly brought us up to 2-0, followed by a shot from Claudia for 3-0. Towards the end of the match and running out of energy, the mids needed some loud cajoling from Ginny to run back and help defend when Bury were on the attack. Our final goal came from Becky, this time via a Bury defenders foot, bringing us to 4-0 for the end of the game. 

Overall a great game that gives us confidence for the start of the season, with great play linking up the whole pitch. POM goes to Charlotte for amazing work up front and LOM to Laurie because Ginny was in charge of counting the votes...
