The importance of safety

Pedzisai Gororo

Brilliant friendly game by L6s, strong offence by Cambridge South L6with overall great possession throughout the game. Unfortunately no goals even though there were many opportunities. A rough tackle in the D led to a penalty shot for Cambridge South L6 which was unsuccessful. A green card was given to opposition Bury St Edmunds due to a dangerous tackle of an CSHC L6 player. This highlights the importance of safety in the games we play and unsafe practices will be penalised. The whistle blew signalling end of game final score was 1-0. It could have been a tie but there was a safety issue with a goal scored by Lauren. As the goal approached the goalie it bounced off a player and was too high putting players at risk and even though it was a goal at that point it was also a foul. A big well done to our POM Georgia for great coverage of midfield tackles and drive. Shout out to our LOMS Emma and Pedzi who left Cambridge before everyone and still arrived late.
