The Spanish stallion turns into bull for the week and is enticed into horrific tackle by matador opposition

Oscar Serra

The M1 lads received Bury St. Edmunds at home after two consecutive victories against Cambridge University 2 and Cambridge Nomads 1. Hence, M1s faced the match with a lot of confidence and looking forward to showing a good performance.

The match started with a lot of opportunities to score for South, but many brilliant safes from Bury’s goalkeeper delayed the possibility to open the score until the end of the first half.

The first one came from a brilliant deflection of Hungry Humby in one of the multiple short corners that South had along the first half. In fact, the second one came from Catley after catching a rebound of a penalty corner. Catley found a bouncing ball into his reverse and smashed into the net.

Despite South’s good defence, Bury transformed the 2-1, but Hungry Humby scored again his the definitive 3-1 in a “bury skilly” transformation. He got the man of the match after the two goals, and Serra got the lemon of the match after a “bury” bad tackle.
