November 5th and fireworks were in the air. Sparks were bound to fly as ‘The Dads Army’ AKA Cambs South 3s took on an enthusiastic 4s team. Off the back of 2 wins we were looking to make it three in a row and confidence was on the up.

I can’t really remember too much of what seemed a bit of a chaotic game and it’s Sunday night and I’m knackered, so here are my memories of what probably happened…

• Tom Anns probably talked about his pre-match poo antics too much
• Jonny probably turned up late
• Shin probably missed the game as he was in McDonald’s
• Gando was probably hungover
• Catley probably still had Covid
• We probably had to many shots to remember in the first half and didn’t score any
• We probably had lots of shorts which seemed like slow motion and yet we still didn’t score
• Dan Loy probably ran around like a maniac taking out most of our players
• Jack Chalk probably got carded after trying to take on Englands Strongest Man in a tussle
• I probably didn’t even notice the above
• Ali probably thought he was Cafu all game and probably forgot what ‘marking’ was which led to their goal
• We probably won
