It was cold, dark and rainy. It was 16:30. BUT we played some damn good hockey. We played as a team, we played some triangles and the work rate was top tier. We even got to half time with just one goal conceded…and we all know, the first half is the warm up and the second half is when we come alive. ‘We’ being our club mates, who sadly on this occasion were the opposition. The details are a little blurry and a few more goals were conceded, but we maintained intensity, positivity and played our game and for that we should be very proud.

Mom went to our fabulous defensive duo: Lucy and Lydia. Lu Bed (or is it Lucy Lucas, hello hubby) smashed it with solid defence and great composure on the ball. Then our rockstar keeper Lydia held her own with lightning reactions, strong clearances and fantastic communication..oh and she brought the cutest team mascot (shout out to Tim for subbing in for daddy daycare and Juliette’s mum for the soothing French vocals).

LOM went to Hannah for getting naked (skins not required), getting low (falling over) and getting loud (when she hit the deck).
