The day started with an hours drive to Bourne deeping, in which we really struggled to recall anything about our last game here however it all came back very quickly once we arrived at the school. Although half of the team did have some difficulty finding the changing rooms but with some help from the others we made it and were ready to go. After a great team talk led by Nic and Jenny we were ready for our warm up. 

Once we got onto the pitch, i had earnt myself LOM before the game even started as i had some difficulty untying my shoelaces, needing help from my “favourite teacher” Ms Cooil, thank you Miss! Apparently i should invest in some Velcro before next weeks game. 

Our first goal came after we won ourself a short corner, a straight strike to the bottom left corner by Jess after an accurate and fast paced injection from Kim. Yay 1-0. 

Our second goal came after Jess beautifully and legally lifted the ball into the D towards Mads who, while the ball was still flying, tapped it into the goal. Very impressive Mads! Yay 2-0 

Half time came 

After our motivating half time talk, we were ready for another great half, let’s get some more goals! 

The third goal came after Jess passed the ball into Mads who was stood just in front of the keeper. After a beautiful turn she reversed hit it into the back of the goal. Yay 3-0 

The fourth goal came after we won a long corner, Jenny passed the ball to Rebecca who sent it towards Cait, who made a wonderful turn and sent it straight into the goal. Yay 4-0

So how did we get the fifth goal you ask? 
Well, another short corner was won and after again another beautiful injection from Kim, Jenny slipped the ball to Jess on the left, who fired it straight to the backboard. Yay 5-0 

Did we get anymore? oh yes we did. We again won ourselves a short corner, Kim injected the ball to Jess at the top of the D who then slipped it left to Nic. Nic fired the ball across to the far post and Soph tapped it in. Yay 6-0 

Well done girls, a brilliant game! 

Pom votes went to a variety of players today, Maddie, Rebecca, Nic and Soph. But overall player of the match was won by Jess for her brilliant work rate, beautiful passing and 2 cracking goals. 

Lom votes went to Nic, Rhian and Kim but in the end was won by Soph for her inability to tie her shoelaces. I’ll look into those Velcro trainers!
