Menace on the dance floor, menace on the pitch

Hannah Muncey

When you’ve been promising a post Christmas comeback and you realise, it’s post Christmas..

So.. we trained well. We squared up to the 4s. They banged a goal past us in 2 minutes. Interesting.

We got to match day. Has Anna had enough sleep? Has Indi pulled a muscle in her big toe? Will there be any wounded animals on the pitch?

The whistle went, we launched our attack. Lily made her debut, she started running.

Emily Bird was also doing lots of running, the fans were going wild. Turns out Emily Bird was actually on the sideline. It wasn’t Emily Bird running, it was Lily, she was still running. She also scored two goals, she got POM - she can stay.

The team also played as a team, in a team sport. It felt surprisingly good. We played some triangles and we switched it around the back. We do sometimes listen at training.

Tim had to prep for his match. He went into the changing room. We didn’t cause carnage. Impressive.

Indeed, Jack Chalk was impressed with us (no cards given). However, Erin was not impressed with Jack Chalk (threats of cards to be given). Who came off worse? Erin. Erin got LOM.

The game was closing. We were slightly tired. The ball was whacked, the stick was not present. Hannah stuck her foot out ‘YEAH BABY’ - we’d won the game.

Being warned by Jack and then spending the rest of the game refusing to play on his side of the pitch.  Falling over and gambolling
