It was a lovely sunny day in Newmarket but it soon turned to drizzle. 

Match kicked off on time with South having the first push back. First half was played brilliantly with the ladies defending and not letting any goals in but by half time we were down 1-0 down.

Second half did not go as discussed as the pesky opposition kept scoring goals. Not to say our team wasn’t playing well, L6s were playing very well with great team work. As the 70th minute approached, a spectacular tackle by Nicky on one of the L1s sent the ball to Pedzi on post who slipped it neatly behind Newmarket's goalkeeper just before the final whistle blew. 

Final score was 5-1.
