Cor, unsure how to start really, feel like I’m still recuperating from being scorched by the sun (when in actuality it’s because of the social).

Anywho, after a long drive of pure backroads to Stortford, I arrived with my lemon vote number 1 - getting told off by a PE teacher for going through the school to the pitch…during their assembly. Thought those days were past me. *sigh* 

Arrived at the pitch, with my cooler of ice and watched the mixture of L6 and L5s play. 

Eventually our time to play came and we were off, there was some slight confusion on whether we pushback to ourselves or the oppo but finally got the game started. It was a very strong 1st & 2nd quarter and honestly by the third I can’t even remember if we were playing against Stortford or the sun or even my body to continue and this is where I blame my second LOM vote as I was so heat brain I grabbed Naomi’s stick…oops. It was just so dang hot. By third a little goal went in but Lou made some cracking saves beforehand and major kudos to her for doubling up! There was some fantastic defending and brilliant efforts by our midfield and forwards who were tirelessly running up and down the pitch to try and get that sweet sweet goal, but alas it was not meant to be that day. Amazing effort from everyone and special mention to Polly, Lauren and Harry for doubling up as well and massive thank you to the L4s to help us with this match also.
