Lemon for a second week running I hear you ask, but you never get lemon says Hannah Muncey. No, no I do not. We won't digress. Actually yes we will. Firmly blaming my stick this week in its bid to retire. At least the Huns enjoyed the updates of its whereabouts (or lack there of) and Ginny had my back when it tried to escape me again after the game.

I have to say I am pleased that lemon tea cosy hat seems to have gone missing this season, because yellow is absolutely not okay against my skin tone. Just take a look at me in the away kit for confirmation.

It has come to light, after needing to do this summary of the game, that I've mainly retained the performance (and my admiration) for their centre back. After her 4th goal and with her showing skills I've seen at the Olympics, I was wondering how on earth we were going to stop her. Now on reflection, maybe not giving away so many shorts should have been considered, but feets can't help their natural reflux and Tim wasn't there to advise (was later scouted at the L1s game - GIFs in the L3s chat show our thoughts and feelings on this. Please bring a presentation to training on your excuses).

What I do know is that we were busy busy BUSY in defence as the POM votes showed. Selene had a stormer - such a pocket rocket! Anne and Louisa's combined skills were keeping us tidy at the back. Me, Gin and Han were trotting about on the wings trying to keep those speedy forwards at bay.

A fast paced game without much time on the ball to deliberate our options, our mids were tirelessly shutting down play and working v hard without a sub. The forwards had a few leads and chances, whilst also trying not to be marked to death!

A tough team to play after last week's match. These gals have just come down from above (see Jan's preview) and I've no doubt they'll return there. Bye felicias (but also thank you for being nice and not scary like Newmarket).
