What a game!! A 7-0 result against Newmarket 2s and everyone played absolutely fantastically! Where to begin!? 

Started off strong with two goals swept in by Naomi on the left post in the space of 10 minutes set up by Mo and Cat! This was followed by a few short corners here and there but the one that stands out in my mind was the absolute text book short corner by Mo, Becky, Amelia and Liv where the ball was passed in a zig zag between them completely confusing Newmarket’s defence, sadly not quite making it in but looked gorgeous all the same! 
Goal after goal was scored. Next one was a short corner and goal scored on deflection by me - token to Izzy’s advice at the beginning of the match! Fourth was scored by Amelia after a brilliant piece of triangular passing from the forwards. Liv then had a fantastic goal from a straight strike at the top of the D but was sadly disallowed (something about not being below the backboard). Fifth (I’m slightly losing track) was scored by Naomi completing her hat-trick!! Sixth was a fun bit of passing between myself and Mo along the back line where I was able to push it in to the corner just at the end. Finally seventh was a goal by Amelia who absolutely nailed it in from the top! 

Special mention ought to go to Liv, Becky and Mo who were awesome at setting up the play. Also to our defence, especially Nicole who was having a scorcher of a match - poor Katy was bored out of her mind by the end (not that anyone’s complaining). POM goes to Naomi for her hat-trick!!!  LOM goes to Nicole for being slightly absentminded in the warm up and forgetting her own name. And there we have it. Thanks everyone for a great afternoon of hockey and can’t wait for next weekend against Ely 2s!
