Purple strikes through!

Match report

On Sundays we wear Purple Pink!

As we arrived at Haverhill, we were kindly provided with pink bibs to wear. So fetch!

The smell of fish and chips wafting from both ends of the pitch made me at least want to embrace an all carb diet.

In name round, Helen took LOM for forgetting her name…. That’s it.

Starting strong, South L5s took the lead in the first half, with three beautiful goals by Rittman, Hayley and Helen.

At half time, Captain Harry proved that she’s kind of psychic. She has a fifth sense, predicting that Haverhill may gain ground in the second half.

Haverhill L1s indeed decided that the limit does not exist, scoring 4 more goals with a final result of a draw with 5-5.

Rittman (& Kat assist) scored South’s fourth goal, whilst Kat scored our fifth and final goal  from a short corner, with text book slip and deflection into the goal!

Fantastic hockey was seen throughout the team. Julie and Vinnie in particular kept up great play throughout, with Julie demonstrating great defence and Vinnie with great plays on the wing, earning them joint POM. They can’t help it if they’re popular!

Like, I think we’re pretty. I want my Pink shirt back! I want my Pink Shirt back!

*** to add - hopes were very high due to the  hugely anticipated chip butty and DID HAVERHILL DELIVER! The chippy chips delicately encased in the buttery white bread. The combination of the crunch of the smaller chips against the softness of the classic hovis slices - PURE PERFECTION
