:We had a tense match against the top of the league Wisbech. We started off well, but initially struggled to get the ball out through the press from 16s. We conceded a goal after a bad cross over the D and lost the structure after getting a bit confused by substitutions at the end of the first half. However we reset at half time and played a lot better. Some miscommunication between defenders and our goalie, caused us to concede a further goal. In the last minutes of the game, Wisbech blocked a short corner goal with their body, so we were awarded a penalty flick. Ruth stepped up and found the left corner of the goal.
Claire got player of the match for many great and 'casual' saves in goal. Sophie E got nominations for lots of fantastic runs down the line. Ludo got a nomination for some great clearances. May got a nomination for great running and tackles.
