Hot off a two-match win streak the 2s came out roaring against a Peterborough team that, well, we can’t really remember playing in the first half of the season. LOM was decided before the warmup with Creedy’s questionable finger attire. Gotta stay safe out there guys.

Anyway, a strong 2s squad hit the ground running, and naturally conceded in the first five minutes. A simple back post tap in from the oppo woke us up, and south turned it on.

A storming run from Jack down the right ended up with a cross/shot that the ‘Borough defence decided to turn into their own goal to open the floodgates. After that, it was all South.

Jacko got one in with a strong hit on the turn shortly after that, and burgled another before half time.

South started the second half as they’d finished the first, Will with a great strike from a short and John with a lovely back post move had South 5-1 up. Peterborough pulled one back with some kinda mixup in the D, but their heads were down and South were controlling the tempo nicely. Good calm hockey opened up the oppo and jacko broke for the last goal, a beautiful deflection at full stretch off a lifted pass from Creedy.

Full time brought the 2s their third straight win, and we head into a weekend off with momentum and a big push up the table for the final run in this season.
