Conclusion –

Ladies 1s currently high performing in all KPI areas. Plans for development include; staying on your feet (Izzy), taking your facemask off correctly (Kate), less bulldozing (Lily), giving the ball more quickly (all), less dress fittings (Jess, although was lovely to have you for the first half), being on time (Kim & Izzy), equal number of goals and lols (Hannah). Positives; 2 hours of weekly sprints (thank you Tim) actually did us quite well, despite all of the complaining, very fast first half of hockey. Mollie settled in very well in her first game for the L1s. Sophie continues to be wonderful. Evie still bringing the Cat H.

Last 4 game targets:

Individual Analysis:

Performance Hire – Sophie Dixon (International standard goals, mad skillz, v quick hands, woman of the match)

Technical Skills & Hype Hire – Evie Borgeson (Cat H team leader, solid distribution, weaving through players)

High Achiever – Anna Lamstaes (Dr Anna on GMS, lulls in players who don’t think she’s a brick wall and then makes them look silly)

Goal Driven Hire – Lily Bulldozer Matthews (Arguably harsh, the girl threw herself to the ground. Second half slow motion goal – they all count)

HR Nightmare – Kate Dixon, IMP (relatively self-explanatory tbh. Kept around for some good moments from time to time)

New Starter – Mollie Jebb (Fantastic L1s debut, see you next week for round two)

Experience & Personality Hire – Kim Pearson (Sorry but you’ve been at south since I was 18, always ready to humble a player with a worldie pick, fastest sprint I’ve seen since 2018, great commentary)

Forward Thinking Hire – Big Hannah (Switched it up for goals over lols this week – lols were still also had)

All Rounder – Jess Reed (Forward? Mid? Screen? Bride? Not a problem, will make anything work)

Higher than expected workload – Loopy (Big save in the first 10 to keep us ahead, pls never leave us)

International Hire & Team Player – Nic Fennell (Irish, umpired the game before ours, coaches the juniors, will have the ball off you at any given moment)

International & Multi-departmental Hire – Kerryn Berndsen (Irish and German, mid, forward, if you have the ball you can bet she’s on you trying to get it back, very good fleece game)

Consistency Hire – Katie Mulholland (Nelly’s Mama, soon to be Granny, always brings her best work)

Post Sabbatical Hire – Sarah Dodds (Good of you to rejoin us, back with some solid tackles)

Dependable Hire – Jess Woodhouse (Always supporting, even on mat leave).
