The L2s love a baked good

After a fantastic 11-0 win against Long Sutton of outstanding play and stunning goals, what better way to summarise our day than with a comparison of the team with some sweet treats. 

Jess - confetti cake with a sparkler on top, she  sparkles in the D and definitely needs to celebrate her five goals!!!

Emily B - an angel cake, her deflections are perfection 

Hayley - carrot cake for obvious reasons. Although, her obsession with every passing ditch and subscidence of each road we took did make her seem like a molten chocolate cake (much appreciation to the drivers taking us on the lengthy trek <3) 

Emily M - a cake pop, she’s small but mighty, racing explosively down that line 

Rhi - chocolate brownie, rich with sugar, she’ll fuel you all day with the way she runs around the pitch 

Hannah - cinnamon roll, multiple layers of enjoyment, the sweet runs deep!!

Rhian - an eclair, the smoothest, playing round the long sutton press with ease 

Emma - a raspberry macaroon, despite her hard and competitive exterior on a hockey pitch, she has a soft and sweet personality 

Immy - chocolate and raspberry brownie, her matching outfits and hairclips are even better than this classic pairing

Sophie - shortbread biscuits, buttery like her fingers throwing that stick oops!! 

Izzy - a cupcake with traditional swirly frosting to match her sweeeettt spins, twirling the opposition into a dizzy daze 

Mel - a pain au chocolate, dribbling all the way from defence into the D like the chocolate out of the pastry, leaving us all in awe 

Steph - running rings around the defenders like a swiss roll!!! 

Zoe - a lemon meringue, earning LOM for my lack of participation today but I had the best view on the pitch 

Captain's Addition of goal scorers, assisters and brief summary (thanks to Josh Spellmoore's go pro for helping us work out the order and who did what): 

1. Jess (Emily assist) - Top D lifted hit, top left hand corner across goal and keeper 

2. Emily (Jess assist) - Little jab to nutmeg keeper 

3. Jess PC - Hannah injection to Jess top, bottom right corner, open space 

4. Rhi (Soph assist) - turn, reverse slap, bottom left corner 

5. Jess (Izzy assist) - slap, bottom right corner 

6. Izzy PC (Jess assist) - rebound, lifted over the keeper 

7. Jess (Izzy assist) - deflection, over the head of the keeper, top right

8. Soph (Rhi assist) - few rebounds, lifted over keeper, looped into middle of goal 

9. Rhi (Soph assist) - slap, deflected bounce, bottom right 

10. Jess (Steph assist) - cross goal ball, open goal slap/tap in 

11. Hannah (Immy assist) - reverse, top D bottom right corner
