A Septet is the name of a group of 7 things, for those that do not know. I also did not know this until I googled it for this match report. Lots of 7s on our trip away to Wisbech, some listed below, and some fun facts for those that care:

- It is 43.7 miles from my front door to Wisbech HC

- We have scored 47 goals this season

- 7 goals were scored, technically 3 by Wisbech and 4 by South (see below for an explanation)

- The number of goals KP (then KC) scored away at Wisbech in 2016 (https://cambridgesouthhockeyclub.co.uk/matches/2395/)

- The number of minutes past 2am that I got enthusiastically greeted with ‘Morning!!’ by Kate on Friday night

- The number of smarties on Nic’s fantasy brownie

- The number of times approximately in an hour Hannah Snow has to wee

- The number of colours in a rainbow, which is about the only weather phenomenon we didn’t see

- The number of points we need from our last 3 games to finish above Dragons

- The number of times per training session Tim probably rethinks his life choices

- The number of times we hear ‘all star’ a week from Kate or Kim

Non-7 related points from the day:

- Kerryn got MoM for relentless effort all game

- Mollie had another stormer, earning MoM votes

- I got lemon because I can’t keep my mouth shut

- Rhian and Emily slotted in well and made some crucial contributions

- We got a short taken away because we apparently took too long to play it, classic Jess Reed (time waster)

- Jess got told off for watering the injection mark on a short

- We had a lovely chat with two of Wisbech’s players after the game, who said they didn’t mind losing to good teams (compliment of the season)

- Kim bought last week’s leftover sweets in tupperware and a new bag of squashies, obv

Goals -

1. Kerryn – 2 minutes in, short corner

2. Evie – about 10 minutes in, kindly deflected into the goal by a defender

3. Jess R – Lovely deflection

Half time

4. Izzy – wide shot kindly kicked in to the goal by a defender

5. Jess R – top D, calmly put through the keeper’s legs

6. Izzy – lovely ball from Kerryn, hit in to the net

7. Wisbech – honestly not sure but they did score
