It just wouldn't go in!

After Hayley, Emily, Maddy and Indi finally walked one by one into the changing room late, we started strong on a sunny October morning. We really focused on our structure and creating triangles, and it worked! We came out fighting in the first half, with a short corner and lots of play in their half. However at half-time, still no goals scored on either side. Although our defence was great, we struggled to get it in the goal once in the D. Once fuelled up on halftime sweets, we kept going. There were a few chances on goal but it still wouldn’t go in. It got quite tight at the end with the ball in our D and them winning a short corner, but the score stayed 0-0 up until the final whistle. We felt it was a fair reflection of the game, although we would have loved a win!

Joint POM went to Emily and Connie, with Daisy being another contender. Without a doubt LOM went to Maddy for slipping on her stick and falling over. Shout out to Zoe for her delicious millionaire’s shortbread!

We got our hopes up when we saw sausage rolls in the clubhouse, thinking that we might avoid the usual pasta bake, then we got told the uni forgot to put our name down for teas… but eventually out came the pasta bake which we felt we had to eat! Overall, a good game with lots of laughs – well played girls!!
