With Alec always late for meet time, I put a message in the group to emphasise the importance of arriving on time.

Arrived at Long Road to pick up kit and away shirt, only then I realised it will take me 40 minutes, instead of 20, to pick up both Ollie and Jonny. In the end, I arrived at Ollie’s at the supposed meet time. To make things worst, I drove to the wrong leisure centre and need to take a detour to get to the correct one. We finally arrived…30 minutes late.

The game itself is less interesting. We dominated possession and created lots of good chances. Ed, Will and Blair are all feeling generous today. Once Ed scored our opening goal, we decided it will not be very sporting of us to score a second one, so we just decided to aim at the hole in the fence instead. The game could have taken a different turn when I conceded a flick. Luckily, Stan made the crucial save to ensure we maintain our clean sheet, which also earned him man of the match.

Overall, we played a very good game with possession. I got lemon for being late as skipper and giving away a flick. Stan got man of the match for making 2 big touches in 70 minutes.
