If only Jan's previews weren't so accurate....

Cambridge South Ladies 6s realised that they were going to have a tough match against March Ladies 1s when 2 goals were succeeded in quick succession within the first 5 minutes. South regrouped and marked more closely, but throughout the game March were generally stronger and took advantage of opportunities to score 10 further goals by the end of the game - 6 each half. Despite the scoreline, there was plenty of fine play by South. We nearly got to the end D many times. There were beautiful triangular passes up the pitch. We were unfortunately unable to convert 2 short corners that we won. We kept going to the end with full effort. This is also illustrated by player of the match being shared between 4 players: Flo for her hard work in defence; Clare for some great saves in goal and not stopping; Sophie L was great in mid field; G for always being on the go in centre mid - a nomination that is a great send off in her last game for South. Sarah accidentally had an argument with a football net and fell over to win lemon of the match. In general, South should be proud of their efforts, but were playing a much stronger team (one of whom could do aerials, with control, from one end of the pitch to another!)
