*Good vibes only *

Despite having the graveyard slot for pushback we were still maintaining our season motto of ‘good vibes only’. A happy birthday serenade with cakes for Selene’s 16th made for a positive start and a team talk which saw the return of the triangles (my favourite shape) got us motivated to step into the dark, rainy conditions outside. 

As expected the game got off to a quick start but we were able to hold off the quick uni players with our solid defence and after a worldie of goal from Mo (no croissant power required this week) we were in the lead! Unfortunately this was short-lived and the uni scored to equalise. 

We continued to play well with triangles, short- sharp passing and plays around the back. We nearly went into the lead again with a wonderful straight strike from Steph but it narrowly caught the post. 

Half time 1-1 

Despite not having many subs compared to the Uni’s 5 we kept our positive vibes up. The whole team worked hard all over the pitch. Unfortunately a few more goals slipped in from the opposition, some more controversial than others. 

Final score 4-1 

POM votes for 7 different members of the team with Annabel being the overall winner for her solid defensive work. LOM for me (Erin) for some accidental stick throwing during the game.
