This match opened with a March player driving into the D and putting away an impressive goal into the top of the net within a few minutes of pushback. Oh dear, was this going to be a repeat of last week? Happily not. Yes, it was another defeat, but a much more upbeat game than last week, in which we continued to play competitively and have fun throughout. Pedzi was on form in goal again, making some spectacular saves. There was more great work from the defence, though getting through the strong March press was no easy job. At the other end, Nicky managed to block a few of their hit outs. Frankie and Tilly both had excellent games in midfield, holding up the ball and directing the play. Flo turned up after the game had started (surely this is more lemony than the lack of sweets?) but made up for it with some excellent clearances and hit outs at the back. Dedicated coach Chris was back on the sidelines, with helpful hints on positioning. We came off the pitch happy and energised, and having conceded only the same number of goals all game as we did in the first half last week.
