The CSHC L4s enjoyed a rather relaxing lie-in before taking a leisurely drive to Bretton Gate for the 2:30pm pushback. We were rudely woken up by CoP4 scoring a goal in under 2 minutes. The L4s quickly got into gear, with Becky D, Shree T and Molly D-B making some quick drives up the pitch. It wasn’t long before Kendra S, Holly D and Esther H  were closing in on CoP4’s defence, and after a short scuffle involving a shin on the baseline, Kendra was lining up for the first penalty flick of the team’s 2025/26 season. Like the fox she is, she took her chance and SCORE! 1-1 at half time. 

The second half started with the L4s pushing back with some excellent one-twos between Hattie B and Fi W. It wasn’t long before South had won a short corner. A clinical injection from Hattie allowed Becky to make the most precise shot through CoP4 into the baseboard. 2-1 to South!

Back down the other end of the pitch, Rosie B, Elly B and Rebecca J were closely marking a revolving assortment of CoP forwards, under the watchful eyes of Zehra N in goal. One or two shots were fired, but these were no match for Zehra who casually kicked them away. Unfortunately Rosie caught a stray from CoP, causing her to loudly declare that she does not love being hit by balls, and earning her lemon of the match.  Some strong clearances from defence enable the L4s to take advantage of weary CoP legs and the team were back on the attack. Hattie sent a high ball from the edge of the D, which Kendra volleyed over her head and into the back of the net, earning her player of the match. 3-1 to South!
