The sunny blue sky weather the l4s awoke to on Saturday morning brought a false sense of security. On the first lap of the pitch the wind blew so strongly that running against it felt like running stationary on a treadmill.

We adapted though with some beautiful linked passing play between Molly, Shree and Hattie. We had some great chances with Avi and Naomi creating chances in the D.

Zehra made some great saves and as the whistle blew for the end of the first half, South had a short corner where after a scramble, the ball touched the line but didn't quite fully cross it.

In the second half, March came out strong and aggressive but Ellie and Zehra did a great job co-ordinating defence to keep them out.

The final score was 0-0 with POM to Molly for her great distribution and LOM to Frankie for her car clutch failing, taking her out of the game at half time only to work for the AA man when he arrived to fix it!
