Speeding and scoring!
Louise RobesonOur second trip to Peterborough and once again at 4pm. My excitement to represent the L2s once more started whilst driving 5 of us down the A1, where I got papped by the speed camera. But its okay, daddy said it might not have film in it (he also has one on the way), which decided lemon before we even got to the pitch.
Despite being dazzled by the flashing lights, the vibes (and my speed) didn’t drop. We played catch with a random tennis ball we found for a warmup, and then started the game with high hopes and a blinding golden hour. Coach Liv and her cold feet was soaking up the rays (someone get her some shoes without holes!). We dominated the first half, topped off with a gorgeous Coco strike from a PC. My review on this goal is ‘it made a lovely sound on the backboard’.
Peterborough came back fighting in the second half with a couple of shorts and scoring a rebound goal not long into the 2nd half, tapping it round lemon lu. I made a few more saves and before we knew it the full time whistle had gone, but the game was not over. We had a PC after the whistle. Despite taking slightly longer than the intended straight strike, Hayley eventually put the ball in the net, and we celebrated like we had won the league!!!
I also got LOM votes for whipping out my bag of giant wotsits at teas which led to me being called a child. LOM cemented. Hayley secured POM for her last min winner. We also equalled our current goal tally in this game alone. A winning day all round (apart from my bank account)
