Building Plan: An enjoyable win

After a week of solid planning, the blueprints were drawn, the site plan understood, and the team was ready to build. We arrived at the Dragons’ Den with high hopes and hard hats - 16 builders, all geared up for action.

Pitch site was dry, but the aim was clear: build the win. 

We showed up with the plan… but forgot the scaffolding. There was demolition of Tim’s dreams within the first 10 minutes. 

It was clear we needed to rebuild from the ground up. A steady defense laid fresh foundations, and good reinforcement of the plan from Lucy and Jenny helped stabilize the structure. We got the ball rolling again. 

Just as momentum picked up, a breach in building regulations occurred. A burst of dragon fire scorched our timbers, and we conceded a goal. 

We regrouped at half time and returned to the site with renewed energy, brick by brick, pass by pass we were making progress. Alice’s expert construction work slotted all the screens into place. Then, with some questionable architecture, Amelia drilled one at the goal - and the spirit level was balanced again 

Unfortunately, a couple of aerials had a lower pitch than expected. A few cracks started to show and another goal slipped through the cracks. Despite extensive repair work, the final structure didn’t match the original blueprint.

We built back from rubble and are proud of the final look. The best part? We’ve secured a new contract next week. See you all there, bring your hard hats.
