Kim Cooil

K Pearson - Hockey

Kimberley seems to have enjoyed her hockey so far this year. She has continued to partake with both passion and energy. There have been a few times this season she has been seen to take this a little too far, often over celebrating the winning of short corners both when defending and attacking shorts, goals and most notably and inappropriately, defensive hit outs. Kimberley has had some problems with her kit so far this season and has been caught without appropriate footwear and suitable skort options. Having said this, a good season so far. She is, after all, a true sports fan.

A Lamstaes - Hockey

It has been pleasing to see Anna's dedication to hockey continue to develop this season after a brief lapse in availability at the beginning of the season. She has continued to go from strength to strength this year putting in some fantastic tackles in some important games. Anna does however need to work on her ability to keep score, as this can sometimes lead to her not realising that her team had in fact not lost.

A Wright - Hockey

Alice has chosen hockey as her winter sport this year, and it is excellent to see her back to her usual high standards. Alice has the ability to protect the ball at all costs and is rarely seen dispossessed. It has, however, been disappointing to not see Alice fulfil her self appointed role as Joint Social Secretary to her full ability so far this term and urge her to take on a more active role next half of the season.

L Greenaway - Hockey

Liv has had an excellent start to the season, which is a credit to her hard work and want to develop as a.player. She is fast and furious, occasionally even a little too pushy. In a recent test, Liv may not have known who Englebert Humperdinck is, but she does know how to run the base line at pace.

K Crawford - Hockey

As a team we were delighted when we heard Katie Crawford was making the transfer from her previous clubs. She was known to us as an excellent defender and what we have seen so far has only cemented that belief. Katie is also known for her occasional lemon worthy moments such as volunteering herself as kit lady, only to miss her own order. This sort of behaviour sits very well within the team, and another reason her new shirt colour looks so good on her.

M Green - Hockey

Maegan has grown in confidence so far this season and it's an absolute pleasure to see. She approaches her hockey with a steely determination. She has the ability to dispossess any forward and carry the ball to link up with the midfield. She has slotted into this team with ease, showing consistency, creativity and team work. A very promising start indeed.

L Tonkin - Hockey

Loopy has been impressing us once again this season. She continues to be a vocal presence on the team as well as demonstrating her niche skills every week. There have been many games this season Loopy has delivered her usual goal saving moments but none stand out more than the flick she saved this weekend. Calm and composed, as ever. Long may this continue.

K BERNSDEN - Hockey

Kerryn has shown excellent leadership qualities so far this season, which is exactly what we were looking for in a new captain. She leads the team by example, with the highest of work rate, always driving into space, carrying the ball past the opposition's left foot. Kerryn has also demonstrated her strength and depth by producing a quality cheesecake for dessert.

L Roberts - Hockey

Lucy has been taking part in Cambridge South Hockey demonstrating excellent commitment to the purples. Whilst Lucy might not be the most “Articulate” (SORRY but LOLs) of the group, she lets her hockey do the talking and wow, does her hockey shout absolute class. She is a rock at the back, solid as they come and ably leads and instructs the back line. A fabulous addition to the team.

E Kitt - Hockey

Emily has risen to the challenge of moving up the teams this year. She listens well to instructions and has delivered some high quality hockey this year so far. She uses her youth to her advantage to get ahead for her team mates. Notably (ed. As an actual hockey teacher) she has worked hard to improve her stick stop and it is pleasing to see it working effectively in matches. Her love of sausage rolls is evident for all to see, which just seems to add to her charm.

A Dunne- Hockey

Amy may have been a slightly later transfer this year, however she has settled in perfectly, demonstrating all the qualities we are looking for in our players. She had an excellent game in our recent fixture against local rivals, where she delivered some high quality hockey. I have been most impressed with Amy's decision making and timing this year. She chose the right club and timed the returning of her previous shirt perfectly.

J Beadman - Hockey

Jenny is a delight to have on the team. She is a reliable, calm, composed hockey player who has continued to demonstrate her strength and versatility this year. Does she ever put a foot wrong? Teachers are not allowed favourites, for obvious reasons, but it's hard not to when Jenny is about. A pillar of strength.

(Ed: I would actually be surprised if Jenny's reports don't read like this)

K Langley - Hockey

What a joy it has been to see the return of Katie to the team. Having taken last season out she has come back stronger than ever demonstrating her classic linking game ably assisting with many a goal already this season. Katie should be proud of the work she has produced so far this term and should continue to look forward to the rest of the season.

I Smith - Hockey

Isobel is a pleasure to have on the team, she approaches her hockey with a maturity beyond her years. She can often be seen using her skills to beat a line of defenders before passing it on to the forward line. She has also continued to make progress with her drag flicks and has transferred this to goal scoring moments. In extra curricular, she also delivered some absolutely banging brownies worthy of an A*.

A Barclay - Hockey

It has been impressive to see such a strong start by Amelia this season. She has come in and dominated the midfield with silky stick skills and vision on the pitch. She had a particularly strong game recently against her previous club where she demonstrated that she is at the top of her game. Socially, we are beginning to see Amelia come out of her shell, expressing herself both on the pitch and off. On a recent trip she chose pyjamas as her clothing of choice. What a start to the season!
