Jenny Greenwood

Selene (good health, must be the age)-  keeping us in the game with energetic saves, zero nonsense, well deserved PoM

Freya (no physical ailment but raised anxiety levels from no fewer than 3 Saturday morning drop outs, completely ruining her lovely subbing plan)- an absolute wall in the back, stopping the opposition repeatedly from entering our D

Jenny (recovering from various illnesses and had to be taped up a bit by our team physio)-  got some nice aerials over their high press and one nice squaerial over the fence, nearly earning her lemon competing with Zoë

El (good health)- fabulous play on the wing, getting the ball up the line and strong defending

Harry (cold)- was everywhere on the pitch, top D to tap the ball in for the forwards but also in our D defending shorts and supporting the defenders

Coco (went on a run the day before, tired legs)- still managed to run her socks off, stepping in front of her players and offering pass after pass

Jas (coldish)- her usual speedy skills brought many balls into the D and earned the flick, still waiting for that reverse aerial though

Rhi (usual Rhi ailments)- fought hard to bring the ball up the wing, one too many enthusiastic tackles led to a little breather on the sideline. Scored the first goal from a calm penalty flick into the bottom corner

Jess (took intermediate fasting a little too seriously)- held the middle and shot some well placed balls through the opposition to the forwards, also took a sneaky little break due to an interesting tackle

Louisa (zero voice, blocked ear leading to slight deafness, and a few stitches in her eyebrow)- scored a fantastic first touch goal despite her handicap and worked hard the whole game

Mo (didn’t get her 8 hours) -despite that hardship managed to score a beautiful goal

Zoë (hangover)- enjoyed a lie in in London, latest of the morning drop outs, too much good wine gives you lemons

Assessment: prescribed rest and hydration to all

Didn’t even make it to the game (she blames her alarm, we blame #TooMuchWine). Honorary mention to Jenny’s ‘where-ial’…ball location post ariel = outside the pitch
