Pizza boxes for match report swap

Craig Hall

Here we are in Cantabs bar.

Rob: Hey Craig, it's your turn to write the match report.

Craig: Gulp, what's a match report, what do I have to do?

Rob: Oh just send a couple of short paragraphs and a title on whatever you want and I'll upload.

Craig: Hmm, I don't remember anything about the game.  Tell you what, I'll cut you a deal, I'll take the pizza boxes over if you write the match report.

Rob: Wait what?!  You're not getting away with it that easily!  What's your name, Wilco?

Everyone: What the guy who famously evades match report writing?!

Rob: Yup, that very same chap; he owes me two!

Sandy: Funnily enough he owes me two as well...

Everyone: What a nodder, sort it out, Mr Wilco!

Rob: I'll tell you what, Craig, you take the pizza boxes over and give me a dozen bullet points and we'll call it quits.  Deal?

Craig: Deal

Everyone: You pair of wusses!

Everyone chips in with ideas anyway, including an umpire.  See if you can spot which one(s)...

Rob inserts a horizontal rule (anyone remember those?) and pastes said bullet points...

 - I'm not good at match reports

 - It was a cracking performance from everyone and the team today, we all agreed to that!

 - Watch the video

 - I recognised Sam from Ely who scored the goal

 - Andy T played well and had good runs

 - Other Andy M got the ball to Craig, this was considered good

 - Noah and Luke ran into space well, beating their markers and owning the wings

 - Noah was unlucky not to score in the first half

 - Luke assisted Jelley's goal, Jelley played well today

 - The umpiring was sound

 - The third goal which sealed the win and gave some daylight was a relief

 - Ed: Let's have another horizontal rule to finish with!

P.S.

And what of the pizza boxes I hear you cry?  Did they get recycled properly?

Cracking goal, top-drawer assist, intelligent all-round play, made a big difference to the game

Andy Thomas
Lemon of the Match

General confusion, self-voting, the whole team agreed it wouldn't be right without an Andy lemon
