L4s started the day with an era of hope, as half the 4s played wisbech last week for the L3s, picking up some pointers on how they play (and at least no snow this time).  

After some good changing room chat about the difference between dawn and sunrise and advising Frankie that if she set off for her sunrise hike at 7am she might just miss .. (LOM -1), we were ready to play hockey. 

Quickly into the first half Wisbech were through to goal winning the first short corner of the day and putting it away. Not long after they scored from another short. 2-0 to Wisbech in the first 10 minutes. 

Going 2-0 down woke us up a bit and we started having some really good runs of play, leading to a beautiful team goal just before half time. Playing out from the back, Hattie delivered a beautiful ball out to Lilly creating a 2 on 1 with the goalie, slipped it to Holly who put it away!

The second half south were raring to go, with our defence working so hard despite many many fouls! Katie clearly got fed up of so much argy bargy and gave it some back earning herself a Green card. Nicole Shree and Elly fought hard in defence and Zehra made some super saves!  Our mids had some incredible play and south earnt themselves a short corner. A great strike from becky and rebound shots from half the team meant we managed we bobble it over the line! 2-2! 

South continued to dominate the second half. Shout out to Sophie and Victoria for some amazing forward runs. Becky and Lilly had some incredible play and Lilly hit the post in the closing moments of the game. 

Coming off the pitch Nic looked defeated, turns out she wasn't keeping count of the goals and thought we had lost (LOM - 2). 

Pom votes went to Hattie, Becky, Nicole, Victoria, Lily, Sophie and myself, showing how hard the team fought  to get a well deserved draw.

It seems the L4s are Queens of the comeback this season!
